Congratulations, Steelers, on your Super Bowl win! And congratulations to Steelers fans, of whom I know this site has a few among its readers! I don't follow much professional football, but of all the teams out there, the Steelers are the only ones about whom I could call myself a well-wisher (moreso than the Chargers). They seem like one of the few teams with an ownership that genuinely cares about the city they're in, and they have the patience to pick a coach and stick with him through good times and bad.
Sadly, I missed most of the Super Bowl today because I was working on my moot court brief. Still, I caught the final 30 seconds or so. How was the game? Exciting? It seemed like the Steelers were pretty much ahead throughout.
I am a Steeler fan reader of this site!
It was an ugly game. The Steelers had the lead for the entire second half, but there were some admittedly questionable referee calls that worked out to be against the Seahawks. However, Pittsburgh capitalized on its opportunities, and Seattle did not.
We spent the evening with Bradley, mom and dad, aunt karen and uncle john, as well as various significant others and friends. Aunt Karen made a delicious feast as usual. And Brette kept text messaging me throughout, as she was the lone steeler fan among 'hawks fans at SLO.
GO STEELERS!
I was rooting for the Steelers the whole way through! It was a good game, because both teams didn't play as well as the could have but the steelers definately out defensed the 'hawks. I had to deal with a bunch of traitorous seahawks fans but I held steady with the help of the Pittsburgh crew!
