Scared to Look
Apropos my last post and my post on Kotaku commenter response to Cerise, I note that Kotaku currently has three articles next to each other on their front page. The most recent is a video of one of their writers playing the Docomo cell phone exercise game. After that is an a recent survey by Denizens of Digitivity, which found that 44% of women surveyed own a game console, compared to 39% of men. The final article is on the katana-style styluses given out by Tecmo at a recent press party publicizing the new Ninja Gaiden game for the Nintendo DS.
The Ninja Gaiden article has gotten 35 comments. The cell phone video, 20 comments. The survey on the sex breakdown of console ownership, 104 comments.
The survey comment thread is like a solar eclipse. I really, really want to look at it, but I’m afraid if I do it’ll make me go blind.
